Fabio Cabrera de Leo

Fabio Cabrera De Leo is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in biology and environmental science. Currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Victoria since July 2023, and as a Senior Staff Scientist at Ocean Networks Canada since October 2013, Fabio has previously held positions including Staff Scientist and Adjunct Professor in the same department. With a robust background as a consultant and environmental analyst, Fabio worked at Bioconsult Ambiental for Petrobras and was involved in various environmental monitoring programs for companies such as Petrobras, Chevron, and Maersk. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biological Oceanography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, as well as a Master's in Biological Oceanography and a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from USP - Universidade de São Paulo and UFSCar, respectively.
