Christopher Welte is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in user experience design, graphics, and web solutions. As the Director of User Experience Design at the University of Virginia Library since September 2017, Christopher manages and enhances user interfaces for various digital platforms while also overseeing physical signage across multiple library locations. Previous roles include Lead User Experience Designer and Senior Design and Development Engineer at the same institution, as well as impactful positions at Crutchfield Corporation, where Christopher designed high-engagement user experiences and led a successful design team. Christopher's freelance work under C Mason Design encompasses a range of artistic projects, while earlier experience includes graphic design roles at Kumho America Technical Center and Halex. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Kent State University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in User Experience.
