Alex Acero is a distinguished expert in electrical and computer engineering with a robust background in voice technology and conversational systems. Currently serving as an Affiliate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Washington and a member of the Advisory Board for the same department, Alex Acero has previously held senior positions at prominent technology companies, including Senior Distinguished Engineer and Siri Chief Scientist at Apple, as well as Director of the Conversational Systems Research Center at Microsoft. Acero's extensive experience also includes management roles in speech technology at both Telefónica and Apple. Academically, Alex Acero earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.
