Susie Jonassen

Susie Jonassen, PhD, MSN-Ed, RN, CPN, has extensive experience in nursing education and clinical practice. Currently serving as the BSN Program Director and Assistant Professor at the University of West Georgia since August 2014, Susie Jonassen also holds the position of Clinical Instructor. Prior to this, extensive roles at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta from May 2003 to March 2022 included Trauma Clinician, Trauma Peer Review Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educator, Emergency Room Nurse, and Neuroscience Nurse. Additionally, Susie Jonassen contributed as a Clinical Instructor at LaGrange College from January 2005 to May 2018 and worked as a School Nurse for the Coweta County School System from September 2009 to May 2013. Education credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Leadership from The University of Southern Mississippi, an MSN in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LaGrange College.
