Ryan Thompson

Ryan Thompson is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Unusual Ventures, responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s operations, compliance, finance and legal matters. Prior to joining the Unusual team, Ryan served as General Counsel and Vice President of HR at Shape Security. He also spent nine years working as a corporate and securities attorney with Goodwin Procter in Menlo Park and DLA Piper in San Francisco. During this time, he worked with venture capital firms, entrepreneurs and startups in venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and initial public offerings. Ryan graduated with a BA in Political Science from Boston College and with a JD from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
