Dr Shima L. Holder Hjort

Dr. Shima L. Holder Hjort currently serves as an Executive Board Member for the Materials & Sustainability Committee at the European Construction and Sustainable Built Environment Technology Platform since October 2024. Dr. Hjort is also a Project Manager for Product Sustainability & Transparency at Georg Fischer, effective May 2024, and heads sustainability efforts in Sweden for Uponor, where an ongoing role since August 2019 includes participation on the Swedish Management Team. Previous experience includes roles as Project Manager and Development Engineer at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, along with a Postdoctoral Researcher position from July 2017 to July 2019. Dr. Hjort holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Da-Yeh University, a Master's in Water and Environmental Engineering from the University of Surrey, and a Bachelor's in Chemistry from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus.
