Carlos Ríos

Carlos Ríos has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Carlos is currently working as the Co-Founder & CTO at Upworth, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to that, Carlos worked as a Senior Devops Engineer at Parser from November 2022 to April 2023. Carlos also worked as a Software Engineer at ManyPets from June 2022 to October 2022.

Carlos has also worked at Zebrands as a Squad Lead - Production Engineering from June 2021 to June 2022, where they were responsible for forming and managing a squad, as well as re-organizing internal infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, EKS, and Kubernetes. Carlos also implemented new CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

Before joining Zebrands, Carlos worked as a Senior Backend Engineer at Zebrands for a brief period from May 2021 to June 2021. Carlos was involved in developing internal APIs, creating compliance documentation, and developing crawlers with Scrapy.

Carlos has also worked at Legalbot as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2020 to May 2021, where they focused on developing internal APIs using Fast-API, creating compliance documentation, and developing crawlers with Scrapy.

Prior to that, Carlos worked as a Software Engineer at Azumo.co from December 2019 to November 2020. Carlos also has experience as a DevOps/Data Engineer at CADETECH S.A. from July 2015 to December 2019. In this role, Carlos worked on projects related to migrating the monitoring system from Java to Python and standardizing communication patterns between components.

Carlos started their career as a Bioinformatician at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from January 2014 to June 2015. Carlos then worked as a Programmer at the Molecular BioPhysics Lab at Universidad de Concepcion from August 2009 to July 2012. Carlos also worked as a Programmer at E2I Ingenieria from November 2011 to January 2012.

Carlos Ríos completed their bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering in Computer Science at the Universidad del Bío Bío between the years 2007 and 2013.
