Julie McLaughlin is an experienced environmental scientist and senior congressional liaison at the US Environmental Protection Agency since October 2015. McLaughlin's career includes serving as the 2019 Brookings LEGIS Congressional Fellow for the Office of Senator Tester and a postdoctoral fellow at ORISE-EPA. Academic contributions include teaching as an adjunct assistant professor at Santa Fe College and conducting research as a graduate research assistant at the University of Florida. McLaughlin gained hands-on experience as a field and lab technician at the HT Odum Center for Wetlands, focusing on wetland restoration methods.
