Trucking company U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. has announced that Jake Lawson has been named Chief Commercial Officer. Mr. Lawson succeeds Justin Harness, who will transition to the role of President, Dedicated division.
“I’m excited to welcome Jake to the organization and look forward to working with him to cultivate existing customer relationships, tap new markets, and engage with shippers about our innovative solutions,” said U.S. Xpress President and CEO Eric Fuller.
Mr. Lawson brings more than 20 years of engineering, sales and marketing experience to U.S. Xpress, and most recently served as VP and GM of Sales and Marketing for Whirlpool’s largest customer account, Lowe’s. In his new role, he will oversee all the company’s sales, pricing and customer engagement activities.
“Partnering with our customers and defining the appropriate value propositions are critical for success, and it’s exciting for me to really dig in and elevate what sets U.S. Xpress apart,” said Mr. Lawson. “I also want to focus on our team development to help our people feel supported and mentored, understand their connection to the Company vision, and feel empowered to deliver great results.”
