CEO, USNC-Tech at USNC

Paolo Venneri is the CEO of USNC-Tech at USNC. Paolo is an advocate and representative of USNC’s space technology portfolio to private investors, and they founded and led USNC-Tech as the technology development spin-off of Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation. Paolo has also directed and managed the advanced R&D portfolio of USNC which included over $1 million in federally funded R&D efforts. Additionally, they have lead numerous R&D projects in addition to overseeing all R&D in the Advanced Systems Division. In three years, they grew the R&D division of USNC from 2 people and a single Phase 1 SBIR to a team of 10 supported by external contracts. Paolo was also the PI on two Phase 2 NASA SBIR's, developed and promoted novel nuclear fuel concepts for space nuclear systems, and lead their team in feasibility and conceptual design development of nuclear fission power and propulsion systems. Lastly, they is responsible for Identifying and championing candidate projects for the division, interfacing with project stakeholders, ensuring the success of division projects, and managing the Advanced Systems Division's resources and budget.

Paolo Venneri has a Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, a Master of Science from KAIST, and a degree in Physics and International Studies from Macalester College. Paolo was involved in haidong gumdo, swimming, and paragliding while at KAIST, and was an international student mentor. At Macalester, they were involved in swimming and diving, water polo, political science, and international studies, and was an international student mentor and member of the gaming society.

The team of Paolo Venneri, CEO, USNC-Tech, is composed of individuals with experience in nuclear heat supply systems, micro reactors, finance, and engineering. This team is responsible for the development and commercialization of small modular reactors (SMRs) and micro reactors (MRs).
