Dr. Natasha Kay Mortley is a Senior Research Fellow at The University of the West Indies since January 2023, focusing on research projects, social and gender policy work, as well as graduate teaching and supervision. Previously, from January 2013 to January 2023, Dr. Mortley served as a Lecturer, where responsibilities included teaching graduate courses such as Research Methods and Development Theory while leading regional and international research on topics like Health and Development, Gender and Climate Change, and Caribbean Masculinity and Crime. Earlier positions include Research Fellow at the International Development Research Centre from 2009 to 2013, and Postdoctoral Fellow for an EU-funded project on Gender and Leadership in the English Caribbean from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Mortley holds a PhD in Migration and Diaspora Studies, an MPhil in Sociology of Development, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, all from The University of the West Indies.
