Karen Moons

Karen Moons currently serves as Project Coordinator for Logistics & Mobility at UZ Leuven, where primary responsibilities include overseeing the development of an efficient distribution network, mapping process flows, and identifying improvement opportunities in healthcare logistics. With a background as a PhD researcher at KU Leuven, Karen focused on operational excellence frameworks for healthcare logistics, emphasizing performance indicators and multi-criteria decision-making. Additional teaching roles involved supervising Master's thesis students and conducting exercise sessions in various engineering and management topics. Previous experience includes project coordination for the Ecorace Challenge and work as a logistics assistant. Karen holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and has also studied at Universitat de Valencia and Universiteit Hasselt.
