Terry Crow started with [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) in 2003 as Training Manager. In 2010-11 he was promoted to Plant Manager and ISO Quality Management Rep overseeing the Quality Management System of [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) and being in charge of the internal and external audits.  He also had prior experience working with VI in the 1990’s for 6 years through a St. Louis County organization- SLARC, who oversaw training programs in 4 St. Louis County Sheltered workshops including VI. Terry also worked previously with Cardinal Ritter Institute as a social worker for 6 years in St. Louis county and city.  He spends time outside of work as a member of Dayspring Baptist Church assisting with teaching children, community support projects, and as a member on the leadership council.

Terry has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from [Truman State University](/org/truman-state-university) (formerly Northeast Missouri State University), and a Master’s of Science in Gerontology from University of Missouri St. Louis.

Benroy joined [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) in 2017 as a Quality Management Representative. Major duties include improving internal efficiency and effectiveness through the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System. Benroy also manages quality control and represents [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) from both a business side as well as community relations’ side of operation. Prior to Valley, he worked for the City of Hazelwood assisting the City Manager with tasks such as research, policy writing, and program coordination.

He is driven by Valley’s vision of being the employer of choice for adults with developmental disabilities.

Outside of work, Benroy enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and volunteer efforts such as trail building. He also serves in an advisory capacity with Great Rivers Greenway and the City of Maryland Heights through the Community Advisory Committee and Beautification Commission respectively.

He holds a Bachelors of Art in Communication Studies from [Truman State University](/org/truman-state-university) and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.

Jim started work at [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) as a volunteer during his high school service program in 1985 and was inspired by our outstanding workers to remain onboard. He subsequently applied for a job and was hired as a production supervisor. He has worked in almost every position and department since then. In 1990 he was promoted to Production Manager at the newly acquired Olivette facility. As part of the management team, he helped lead the efforts to make the shop a viable entity. In 2001, at the time of the consolidation, he was promoted to Plant Manager and helped to bring both workshop locations into one smooth efficient operation with growing customer contracts. In 2007 upon the retirement of Steve Frank, he was promoted to General Manager, and in 2008 upon the retirement of Carol Simms, he was promoted to Executive Director where he continues to serve. Jim received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from [Fontbonne University](/org/fontbonne-university) where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2010. Jim oversaw the implementation of our ISO 9001:2008 Certification of our Quality Management Systems in 2008, and from the spirit of ISO, has been helping to move forward with continuous improvements into all departments of [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries). Jim will have 32 years’ experience serving [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) in May of 2017. Jim is an active member, past board member, and past legislative chair of the Missouri Association of Sheltered Workshop Managers (MASWM), serves on the board of North County Inc., and is a member of the Rotary Club of Florissant. Jim keeps [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) actively involved with the local chambers of commerce and local community efforts. Outside of work Jim is an active member of St Johns UCC and enjoys camping and ATV riding with his family.

Teri joined [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) in 2004, as “Employee Service Provider”.  Over the last 13 years, the job duties have evolved to include the hiring process of our developmentally disabled workers.  Teri works closely with the DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education), the Department of Mental Health, Regional Center, and the teachers in the Special School District, along with other area agencies.  Teri is an advocate for our production workers and their best interests.  Teri completed a course in Mental Health First Aid USA, which is a 3 year certification.  She has completed courses in Autism Training, and Asperger’s Awareness.  Teri is also [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries)’ Safety Director, coordinating the variety of safety drills, safety inspections, and staff trainings.  She completed a Supervisor Safety Workshop offered by SWIM/DESE/MASWM, and also an OSHA Compliance seminar.  She has worked with MO Dept of Labor to coordinate their voluntary safety inspections at Valley to help keep our employees safe.

Teri Wilson

Erin was hired at [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) (VI) in May 2003 as a Supervisor.  Over the years she was promoted to Quality Assurance, then to Project Planner, and then promoted to Project Manager where she currently serves VI. Erin oversees the project from start to finish and then ensures the accuracy of final billing to the customer for the project.  She is the primary contact for the customer when the job hits production after Jerry Hart completes the sale.  Erin is also forklift certified and certified for VI’s packaging machinery.  Erin worked as a mentor with foster kids for 2 years and still does some volunteer work as a mentor.  She is currently attending Florissant Valley Community College.

Jerry’s major responsibilities at [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) (VI) involve Marketing and Sales.  Jerry was hired in 1997 Prior to Valley, Jerry started a trucking business at age 20 delivering building materials (drywall, roofing, lumber, insulation and steel) throughout region and had 6 trucks and 11 employees.  He entered the financial services arena at 26, built a team of planners, and worked his way up the ladder.  He then left to become account representative at Fruehauf Corp. He joined the Exide Battery Company and became District Manager.  The highlight of his career has been the time that he has devoted to developing marketing and sales for [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries).   Jerry is a member of the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, Greater North County Chamber and St. Charles West BNI.  He has been involved in various civic and church projects locally, nationally and internationally.  He attended St. Vincent’s College (preparatory) Seminary for 4 years (Cape Girardeau, MO), Florissant Valley Community College and UMSL 1973 – 81 for Business.

Jerry Hart

Cathy was hired as Assistant Training Manager at [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries) (VI) in November of 2006.  She has over sixty college credit hours a mix of general and social service area classes.  She has worked in the disabled field since 1993, previously worked in a day habilitation where she focused on physical, occupational therapies and community integration along with general safety issues, and working with individuals in volunteering in the community. At VI, she was promoted to Training Manager in 2011 where she focuses on pre-employment testing of new hires and their orientation.  She also assists existing employees who may have employment related areas they are struggling in such as minor behavior issues, production, time on task, and other training needs. She writes individual support plans for employees while in the training program which sets their goals to accomplish.  She manages the training staff (Assist Mgr., 3 supervisors and Cathy) tracking and monitoring their goal achievements, and assisting the workers in becoming successful at [Valley Industries](/org/valley-industries).  She writes weekly reports on the training employees recording their data towards their goals, while meeting all PLB funding requirements. Cathy assists in grant writing applications, and manages the ISO 9001:2008 training of all VI workers and staff.
