Oliver Sommerkamp

Oliver Sommerkamp has served as Vice-President of Supply Chain Management for the Europe/Africa region at Vallourec since March 1998, leading the strategic development and optimization of the supply chain in this area. Responsibilities include planning and executing material procurement, managing logistics operations, and maintaining product information systems. Sommerkamp has held several key positions within Vallourec, including Head of Production Planning and Operations at the Mülheim Pipe Mill, where focus was on productivity and inventory optimization through lean management. Other roles included overseeing planning, logistics, and data technology, as well as various leadership positions within casing manufacturing and engineering. Prior to Vallourec, Oliver Sommerkamp completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Manufacturing Technology from Fachhochschule Dortmund.
