Timo Honkanen

Timo Honkanen is an experienced professional in the paper industry, currently serving as Vice President of Paper Business for Asia Pacific at Valmet since June 2012. Previously, Timo held roles at Valmet such as Senior Paper Technology Manager and Concept Manager, focusing on providing tailored paper-making solutions, leading sales projects, and managing mill engineering processes. Prior experience includes working as Project Chief Engineer and Design Engineer at Metso, where Timo was responsible for project delivery and process design for paper machine systems, as well as supervising teams of over 30 individuals as Shift Supervisor at Myllykoski Paper Oy. Timo's educational background includes a Master of Science in Engineering from Tampere University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Wood Science and Wood Products/Pulp and Paper Technology from Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
