Michelle Laviolette

Michelle Laviolette currently serves as the Director of Indigenous Banking Strategy at Vancity, a position held since January 2010, following roles as Senior Branch Manager and Branch Manager. Previous experience includes a Business Development Manager in Broker Services at Citizens Bank of Canada from December 2007 to January 2009, and a Manager of Strategic Alliances at the same bank from January 2000 to January 2007. Early career experience encompasses the role of Operations Manager for Bodog/eBanx/Kazootek from January 1999 to January 2001. Michelle Laviolette's educational background includes a Certificate in Indigenous Canada from the University of Alberta, completion of the Social Venture Institute at Hollyhock Leadership Institute, and further qualifications from Harvard ManageMentor and Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, alongside a BA in Economics & Political Science from Simon Fraser University.
