Heather Mitchell

Heather Mitchell is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience at Vanderbilt University since June 2005, serving as Associate Director of Cloud Services and Principal IT Consultant. Responsibilities include developing migration strategies for authentication environments and managing the analysis of over 400 applications for migration. Previously, Heather held the position of Manager at VUIT, where duties involved leading a team to provide end-user support and managing server and application infrastructure, resulting in significant service improvements and cost savings. Heather also served as a Senior System Administrator, overseeing a diverse server environment and mentoring team members. Prior to Vanderbilt, Heather was the Telephone Systems and Campus Intranet Administrator at Wofford College from February 1999 to June 2005, focusing on PBX systems management. Heather holds a Master of Arts in English from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in English from MacMurray College.
