Jon Heskestad

Jon Heskestad has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Jon is currently working as the Principal SPS Engineer at Vår Energi since March 2020. Prior to this, Jon worked at Aker Solutions as a Senior Subsea Systems Engineer from February 2018 to February 2020. In this role, they were involved in various projects including NOAKA Field Development and Skogul SPS Development Tie-back to Alvheim FPSO.

Before Aker Solutions, Jon worked at 4SEA Solutions as a Senior Consultant from February 2016 to February 2018. Jon also gained significant experience at GE Oil & Gas, where they served as a Lead Subsea Systems Engineer from December 2013 to April 2016. During their time at GE, Jon managed projects at Rosenberg yard in Stavanger and Sonamet yard in Angola.

Jon started their career at Aker Solutions in 2008 and held multiple roles, including Senior Subsea Engineer and EPC Interface Manager. Jon worked on various international projects and was responsible for IWOCS and Subsea Production control systems. Jon also worked as a Subsea Systems Engineer at Total from December 2011 to May 2012, where they were in charge of rig interfaces and coordination with third-party companies.

Before entering the energy industry, Jon worked at TINE SA as an Instrument and Automation Technician from August 2002 to September 2004. During this time, they gained expertise in PLC and HMI programming, as well as instrument installation and calibration.

Jon Heskestad's education history is as follows:

From 2008 to 2011, Jon Heskestad attended Stevens Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master's degree in Systems Engineering and Architecting.

In 2010, they also pursued studies at the University of Oslo (UiO), earning a Master level 10-credit degree in UNIK4000 - Technology, innovation, and product development.

Prior to that, from 2005 to 2008, Jon Heskestad studied at the University of South-Eastern Norway, acquiring a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Industrial Automation.

Jon Heskestad also participated in a Bachelor student exchange program at South Dakota Mines in 2007, with a focus on Electrical Engineering and an emphasis on cybernetics.

Additionally, Jon Heskestad attended Gand Videregående from 1999 to 2002, completing a Trade-school program in Industrial Automation.

In terms of certifications, Jon Heskestad obtained a driver's license class B from the Statens vegvesen - Norwegian Public Roads Administration in May 2001.

More recently, in August 2019, Jon Heskestad earned a Basic Safety and Emergency Training certification, which includes HUET & EBS (Offshore Certificate), from RelyOn Nutec (Norway).

Lastly, Jon Heskestad's additional certification includes Forklift 10T, obtained from BT Norge. However, the exact date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
