Dave Marple

Dave Marple is a Partner and Global Head of Legal, Compliance, Audit & Tax. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and also oversees Värde’s global philanthropy program. Based in Minneapolis, he joined the firm in 2008, was named Partner in 2016 and previously served as the firm’s General Counsel.

Prior to joining Värde, Dave was Senior Managing Director and General Counsel at Residential Capital, the global real estate business of GMAC Financial Services, where he had legal oversight of securitization, corporate finance, trading, master servicing, servicing, regulatory compliance and litigation. Prior to GMAC, Dave practiced law in the Structured Finance Department of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York.

Dave graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University and earned a J.D. from The New York University School of Law.
