Aj Fillo

AJ Fillo, Ph.D., is a seasoned engineer with a robust background in mechanical engineering, specializing in combustion systems, additive manufacturing, and integrated engineering solutions. Currently a Staff Integration Engineer at Vast, AJ focuses on building space stations. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Combustion & Test Engineer at Arbor, where efforts centered on next-generation power plants and carbon-negative energy generation systems. At Relativity Space, AJ led the Additive Development department, advancing 3D printing technologies for rocket structures and propulsion systems, and worked on manufacturing processes for rocket engines. Additional roles include leading engineering teams at WET (Design), producing educational video content as a freelance video producer, and mentoring graduate students during an NSF fellowship at Oregon State University, where AJ attained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
