Joshua Parmenter

Joshua Parmenter has worked in the tech industry since 1991. Joshua began their career at Tower Records as a Lackey in 1991. In 2005, they took on the role of Research Artist at the University of Washington, where they were a composer and technical support for artists at the Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media. Additionally, they were a developer of the SuperCollider synthesis language. In 2008, they were an invited participant at a meeting for specialists in the field of electronic music and live instrument performers and composers. In 2011, they became a Co-Founder and Programming at Rockmore Tech LLC. Finally, in 2012, they became Engineering Director, Mobile and Mobile Engineering Tech Lead at Vectorform, where they were the Apple Technologies Development Lead and specialized in iOS and tvOS, Objective-C and Swift development, and Mac OS X.

Joshua Parmenter received their DMA in Music Composition from the University of Washington in 2005, and their BA in Music from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998.
