Thomas Bastable

Thomas Bastable is a seasoned energy management professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Senior Energy Manager at Veolia Ireland since October 2025, Thomas has previously held the role of Energy Innovation Specialist, focusing on emerging technologies and R&D at ESB from September 2021 to November 2025. Thomas's career at Veolia Ireland began as a Project Engineer before advancing to Energy Manager from August 2016 to September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Contract Engineer at Dalkia from October 2013 to July 2016, specializing in contract pricing and energy optimization, and a position as Apprentice Operation Engineer at Dalkia during 2012-2013, which involved monitoring compliance with legislation. Additional technical experience includes work on industrial projects at EDF. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Fluid Mechanics and Energy Engineering from Institut national polytechnique de Lorraine, a Certificate of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences from Institut national polytechnique de Lorraine.
