Vani Rajan

Vani Rajan currently serves as the Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at Veracyte, Inc., focusing on quality control and sustaining efforts since September 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Bioinformatics at Genetic Alliance, where Vani contributed to the iHope Genetic Health Program aimed at expanding access to whole genome sequencing. Vani's career at Illumina spanned nearly nine years in various positions, including Manager and Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, where responsibilities encompassed quality control and system maintenance for sequencing platforms. Additional experience includes work as a Bioinformatics Engineer at Edge BioSystems, where Vani developed quality control pipelines for sequencing data, as well as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. Vani holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
