Haiyan Zhang

Haiyan Zhang is a highly experienced Principal Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since December 2021, previously serving as a Senior Research Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Translate Bio, where significant work involved the derivation of airway basal stem cells for in vitro models of Primary ciliary dyskinesia and evaluation of mRNA therapeutic approaches. Zhang's extensive background at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Senior Scientist involved the development of various hiPSC/hESC-derived cell models and collaborations on projects.
