Joel Cooper

Joel is the senior director, of toxicology at Verve Therapeutics. Joel received his Ph.D. in toxicology, in 2007 from Rutgers University/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He has worked across the small molecule, large molecule, and gene therapy drug development modalities. Throughout his 14+ year career as a regulatory toxicologist, Joel has been fortunate to have several positive regulatory experiences both within the United States and abroad, including a number of INDs, CTAs, and NDA. He is boarded in the United States as a Diplomat, American Board of Toxicology, and as a European Registered Toxicologist.
