Laura Buffington

Laura Buffington is a dedicated software engineer currently serving as Software Engineer II at Very Good Ventures since May 2022, having previously held positions as Software Engineer I and Software Engineer Apprentice within the same company. Buffington brings valuable experience as a Software Engineering Mentor from The Grace Hopper Program at Fullstack Academy, where responsibilities included mentoring students and conducting admissions interviews. Prior to transitioning into technology, Buffington worked as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan, teaching English to various grade levels, and spent nearly nine years as a Legal Assistant at Buffington Law Firm, PC, managing legal documentation and training new staff. Additional experiences include internships in video production and media at FOODBEAST and Light Iron, a Panavision Company. Buffington earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from California State University Long Beach between 2012 and 2016.
