Ofir Eyal

Interim CEO at Viber

Ofir Eyal is the current interim CEO at Viber. Ofir has also served as a product manager at Citi Innovation Lab, SuperDerivatives, and Comverse. Ofir began their career as a QA engineer at CA Technologies.

Born in Israel, Ofir has always been interested in technology and its potential to change the world. After completing their military service, they studied computer science at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Ofir then went on to work in quality assurance for several companies before eventually moving into product management.

At Citi Innovation Lab, Ofir was responsible for the development of Citi Velocity Mobile, Citi's flagship mobile trading application. The app was developed in Tel-Aviv, deployed globally, and used by Citi's institutional customers worldwide. Working on the app led to the filing of two US patents (user interface and design).

Under Ofir's leadership, SuperDerivatives grew from a small start-up to a leading provider of derivatives pricing and risk management solutions. Comverse also flourished under Ofir's direction, becoming a leading global player in the telecommunications software industry.

Ofir is a strong advocate for the power of technology to improve people's lives. Ofir believes that Viber has the potential to connect people around the world and make a positive impact on society.

Ofir Eyal has a certificate in financial reporting and management from Tel Aviv University - Coller School of Management.
