He will report directly to company CEO Susan Wood, Ph.D.

"Technology supporting early and accurate diagnosis and management of lung and respiratory disease has become of increasing importance amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic, especially as evidence builds for long-term lung damage," said Wood. "VIDA has married a deep clinical background with advanced AI technology and lab services to modernize the treatment of lung disease both in drug discovery and in the clinical setting," said Johnson. "I'm thrilled to be joining this exceptional company at a time when it is more important than ever to focus on and improve care for patients with or at-risk of lung disease."
