Alicia Sornson

As the Regional Lead for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Alicia develops strategy and programs that find, train and support entrepreneurs solving problems in the region.

Prior to joining Village Capital, Alicia worked with Ashoka in Istanbul, Turkey, where she resided for many years, as well as other non-profit organizations in Washington DC. She is especially passionate about the ability for businesses to foster positive social change, mitigate violence and protect the environment.

Alicia holds a MA in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Sabanci University and a BA in International Studies from Susquehanna University.
