Erasmus Kersting

Erasmus Kersting is an accomplished academic in the field of economics, currently serving as the Economics Department Chair and Professor at Villanova University since August 2016, following roles as Associate Professor and The McCarthy Family Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2016. Kersting has extensive experience in research and teaching, including a Visiting Research Scholar position at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and a Visiting Assistant Professor role at Southern Methodist University. With a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Diplom in Economics from Kiel University, Kersting has contributed to significant research projects at various prestigious institutions, including the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, along with multiple published works in academic journals.
