The board of directors at Vir Biotechnology is made up of experienced professionals from a variety of backgrounds. The chairperson of the board, for example, has experience as the chief executive officer of Vividion Therapeutics. Inc. and ROME Therapeutics. Other members of the board have experience as a professor at Oregon Health and Science University, the president and chief scientific officer at TomegaVax, and a principal scientist at Johnson & Johnson. The board also has a member who is a postdoctoral scientist at The Scripps Research Institute. All members of the board have advanced degrees in fields such as pharmacy, biology, and molecular immunology from Purdue University, the University of Konstanz, and Heidelberg University.
