Doug Ahrens is the current Chief Financial Officer at Virgin Galactic. Prior to this, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Mellanox Technologies from January 2019 to August 2020. Mellanox Technologies is a company that develops intelligent, high-performance interconnect products (semiconductors, systems, and software) to increase data center efficiency. Ahrens was responsible for leading the accounting, FP&A, SEC reporting, tax, treasury, internal audit, and investor relations functions. In April 2020, Mellanox Technologies was acquired by Nvidia Corporation for $7 billion.

From September 2015 to December 2018, Ahrens served as the Chief Financial Officer at GlobalLogic. GlobalLogic is a private equity-owned, product engineering company with over 13,000 employees that helps clients clarify their vision for business success, apply a design-led approach to product and service definition, and implement the vision using modern software development processes. Ahrens led the finance, accounting, tax, legal, and IT teams in support of rapid company growth while streamlining G&A costs. Doug also completed multiple rounds of debt financing and the successful sale of the company from APAX Partners to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Partners Group.

Doug Ahrens attended UC San Diego for their BS in Mechanical Engineering and then Harvard Business School for their MBA in Business Administration.

Doug Ahrens reports to Michael Colglazier, CEO. They work with Stephen Justice - SVP, Engineering, Blair Rich - President & Chief Business Officer, Commercial & Consumer Operations, and Sirisha Bandla - VP, Government Affairs & Research/Technical Flight Development. and Seth Zaslow - VP, Investor Relations reports to Doug Ahrens.
