Jack Freund

Jack Freund is the current Head of Methodology at VisibleRisk. Jack was previously the Director and Sr. Lead Info Security Manager at TIAA from January 2012 to April 2019. As the Senior Manager of Cyber Risk, they were responsible for a team of 12 with an annual budget of $10 million for the execution of risk analysis, policies/standards/controls/procedures, and risk reporting and communication functions. Jack was also responsible for the development of risk assessment tools for applications, servers, databases, network, services, suppliers, mobile, workstations, and network connections. In addition, they led culture, diversity, and process improvement efforts for all cybersecurity. Jack was also a member of the Enterprise Emerging Risk and Compliance Committees for Cyber Risk and responsible for IT Records Retention Compliance.

Jack Freund has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University. Jack also has two Master's degrees, one in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and another in Telecommunications Management from the same school. Jack Freund also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. In addition, they are certified by ISACA in CSX Cybersecurity Practitioner (CSXP), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Jack is also certified by the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional US (CIPP/US) and a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT). Finally, Jack Freund is also a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) through ISACA.
