Volta appoints Brandt Hastings CRO

Electric vehicle charging company Volta has named Brandt Hastings as its new Chief Revenue Officer. As a member of the company’s executive leadership, Mr. Hastings will assume responsibility for growing existing partnerships and developing new solutions for its global brands. He will be based in New York and report to Founder and CEO Scott Mercer. "Volta is unique in our ability to create commerce through EV charging, and our platform can connect brands to one of the most influential shifts in consumer and mobility behavior," said Mr. Mercer. "Brandt's background in developing effective, data driven media solutions perfectly matches Volta's ambition to create a real-world media platform with truly measurable impact." Mr. Hastings has nearly 20 years of experience in digital media and advertising. He has served in revenue leadership roles at iHeartMedia and Clear Channel Communications, helping to build innovative new business models to satisfy the needs of marketers and agency partners. "I am excited to join Volta as their charging stations double as an ad platform telling high impact stories using sustainable technology," said Mr. Hastings. "Volta is the most utilized EV charging network in the U.S. which is important to me as it not only helps to combat climate change, it is also a proven, unique platform for advertisers."

Volta adds Nadya Kohl as Chief Marketing Officer

Electric vehicle charging company Volta has announced the appointment of Nadya Kohl as Chief Marketing Officer. Ms. Volta will be responsible for leading the company’s brand and marketing strategy, advertising, creative services, social media and corporate communications. "Volta uses data to predict where to place charging in a way that best benefits our site and media partners,” said Volta founder and CEO Scott Mercer. “Nadya's deep experience in the data world will be tremendously additive to our team as the electric vehicle market accelerates." Ms. Kohl comes to Volta from PlaceIQ, where she led marketing and business development as Executive Vice President, Business Development and Marketing. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, data, and technology, including expertise in helping to build and scale emerging businesses. "Scott's vision to create a new model of electric vehicle charging is based on meeting consumers where they are in the real world. The power of Volta's concept lies in offering new participants a role in this monumental shift: brands can support sustainability, and site owners can offer amenities that are proven to attract customers," said Ms. Kohl. "Having devoted my career to understanding consumer behavior through data, I can't think of a more exciting mission. I'm thrilled to join the Volta team at this pivotal time."
