David Levi

David Levi is the Vice President Controller & Principal Accounting Officer at Vonage. David has significant experience in the field, having achieved many significant accomplishments during their tenure at Bristol-Myers Squibb from January 2005 to April 2017, where they held the title of Executive Director Global Controls, US Controller.

At Bristol-Myers Squibb, a $40b company, Levi served as the US Controller for a $10b organization and was responsible for establishing and driving the strong government obligation accounting process (Gross-to-Nets). David also served as the global business controls leader, developing and driving the global risk management team that governed 80 professionals in support of commercial businesses as well as operational and financial processes. In addition, Levi established and drove the global Financial Policy structure and targeted team development programs. David also supported the development of M&A and Treasury hedging activities through best practice initiatives. Levi built trust in financial and strategic planning under collaborative initiatives with business partners for regulatory and financial processes.

Levi has also held the positions of "Global Controls, Corporate Controller's office" and "US Controller". In their role as "Global Controls, Corporate Controller's office", they were responsible for leading the global business controls function and managing SOX and global financial control risk. David established central operations and leadership, directing a large global team. David also supported the global finance function in internal control environment effectiveness assertions and ensured compliance with associated regulatory requirements. In their role as "US Controller", Levi was responsible for directing US healthcare market financial operations. David led global commercial controls and global customer and alliance arrangement technical accounting practices. David oversaw financial results for US operations and supported operational business partners managing US market. Levi was also the audit liaison and ensured compliance with USGAAP and BMS policies. David successfully led key finance operational improvement initiatives.

Lastly, Levi has held the position of "Corporate Technical Accounting Policy Director" for 5 years. In this role, they were responsible for directing global technical accounting policies. David managed deal accounting for global M&A, business alliance arrangements and Treasury operations. David also provided global policy training.

David Levi has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Villanova University in Coporate Restructuring and Business Strategy, as well as a Masters in Juris Prudence (MSJ) from Seton Hall University School of Law in US Law, Constitutional,Tort, Intelectual Property and Health Care Compliance. David Levi also has an Accounting and Finance degree from Seton Hall University. In addition to their academic accomplishments, David Levi is also certified from LinkedIn in Mergers and Acquisitions and from the State of NJ as a Certified Public Accountant.
