Pierre Gunet-Caplain

Pierre Gunet-Caplain has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and development. Pierre started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Epitech in 2009. Pierre then worked as a Developer Intern at Opsio conseil, where they developed a project management software and set up a continuous integration system. Following this, Pierre worked as a Research and Development Intern at VirtualScale, where they focused on machine data analysis and testing different Data technologies.

In 2014, Pierre joined Deezer as a Data Engineer, responsible for retrieving and processing data for the Data Warehouse. Pierre later became a Data Architect, leading a team and providing data to users. Pierre also took on a Senior Data Engineer role, managing projects and interns, and laying the foundations for migrating the data platform to the cloud.

Currently, Pierre is employed as a Senior Data Engineer at Voodoo.io, working on ambitious projects and handling large-scale datasets. Their main project involves overhauling the management of user data in the Datalake, aiming to reduce costs and improve stability and maintainability.

Pierre Gunet-Caplain started their educational journey in 2008 at EPITECH - European Institute of Technology, where they pursued an EPITECH M2 degree specializing in Information Technology. Pierre successfully completed their degree program in 2014. During the same period, from 2012 to 2014, they also attended Tongji University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering.

Aside from their formal education, Pierre Gunet-Caplain has also acquired additional certifications. In November 2019, they completed the "Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation" course offered by Coursera. In April 2020, they obtained the certification for "Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services," followed by the certification for "Elastic Google Cloud Infrastructure: Scaling and Automation" in June 2020. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to expanding their knowledge and staying updated in the field of Information Technology.
