Habib J. is a highly experienced researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sydney since June 2024. Previously, Habib worked as a Research Scientist at Vow from November 2022 to June 2024 and completed a PhD candidacy at UNSW from March 2019 to September 2023. The PhD project focused on the utilization of unidirectionally frozen silk as a biomaterial for cardiac patches, where significant milestones included the design of a novel freezing setup and the execution of experiments to characterize scaffold properties through advanced microscopy techniques. In addition, Habib has held roles as a Course Demonstrator for Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Biocompatibility, mentored undergraduate students, and contributed to research on silk-based scaffolds as a biomaterial. Habib holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, a Bachelor and Master of Engineering in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, complemented by an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
