Nick Daniel

Nick Daniel is the Co-Founder and Director of Business Development at Vyne. Prior to their current position, they were the Head of Commercial Engagement - Payment Infrastructures at VocaLink from July 2012 to March 2019. In their role at VocaLink, Nick was responsible for service, operations and SLA aspects of negotiating the new Cheque Image Clearing Service (7-figure value). Nick was also responsible for incremental business and change requests from contract win to date, delivering 100% of in-year personal target.

In 2017/18, Nick negotiated with partner company and payment service regulator a 7-figure payment infrastructures faster payments contract extension, successfully navigating regulators’ reservations. In 2017, they were responsible for service, operations and SLA aspects of negotiating the new Cheque Image Clearing Service (7-figure value) – also responsible for incremental business and change requests from contract win to date, delivering 100% of in-year personal target. In 2016/17, in order to achieve the Mastercard acquisition, they successfully negotiated incremental contract for extended functionality, and an essential ‘break clause’ waiver. In 2015, they persuaded partner company to fund a 6-figure development fund to allow them to commission enhancements without member consultation and consequent delays. As key POC, dealing at CEO level, they successfully led negotiations and subsequent project management of a 6-figure cross-scheme SHA-2 project in 2014.
