Stan Meiburg

Stan Meiburg is an accomplished environmental leader with extensive experience in academia and governmental organizations. Currently serving as the Executive Director and Director of Graduate Studies in Sustainability at Wake Forest University since July 2017, Meiburg previously held the position of Chair at the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission from February 2019 to November 2021. Prior to that, Meiburg was the Acting Deputy Administrator at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from October 2014 to January 2017. Meiburg earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Wake Forest University and advanced degrees, including an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science, from The Johns Hopkins University.
