Abhilash Pillai

Abhilash Pillai is an accomplished Product Design Lead at Wati since September 2025, with a rich history in product design spanning over a decade. Prior experience includes a decade at Freshworks, where roles ranged from Senior Manager, Product Design, to Lead Product Designer, significantly enhancing user experience across various platforms, specifically focusing on AI integration in IT service management and marketing automation. Abhilash has contributed to both user experience research and design, leading initiatives such as the Freshdesk to Freshworks rebranding and the development of multi-channel marketing capabilities. Previous roles also feature experience at Human Factors International as a Human Factors Specialist and at Microsoft as a UX Design Intern, alongside foundational roles at Tata Consultancy Services and Sumeru Solutions. Abhilash holds a Post Graduate degree in Information & Interface Design from the National Institute of Design and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar.
