Devika Purushothaman

Devika Purushothaman is a data analyst who has worked in a variety of industries, including energy, banking, and retail. Devika began their career in September 2018 as a Data Analyst with Hudson's Bay Company. In this role, they conducted an analysis of factors that influence inventory levels of retail inventory by understanding the current demand (sales) trend. Devika then predicted demand (time-series forecasting) to create a system that would alert stores with a high probability of being over-stocked a week-in-advance. The predictive model used achieved 66.29% accuracy.

In July 2019, Devika moved to Scotia's as a Business Analyst - Capital Markets. In this role, they liaised with an off-shore business team to gather product requirements and prepared a process document in coordination with the off-shore team. Devika then communicated the requirements to the development team in order to provide technical solutions that met product specifications.

Most recently, Devika has been working as a Data Analyst at Wattpad since September 2019. In this role, they are responsible for conducting data analysis and developing data-driven insights to support Wattpad's business decisions.

Devika Purushothaman has a Master of Management Analytics from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, a CCE from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Data Mining, and a Bachelor's from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
