Alastair Bannerman is the Global Client President at Wavemaker. Alastair has over 15 years of experience in the media and advertising industry.

Prior to joining Wavemaker, Alastair served as the Global Category and Client President at MediaCom from June 2013 to April 2020. In this role, they led the global category and client practice across Energy and Entertainment, a $1.5B client portfolio that included Adidas, Reebok, Shell, SONY and Universal.

From April 2011 to March 2013, Alastair was the Global Marketing Director at Eye Corp, where they were responsible for the strategic development and relaunch of a progressive out of home media brand, a subsidiary of Network 10, across Australia, New Zealand, United States, UK and Asia. Alastair was also part of the transition team that sold the company to private equity in November 2012.

Before joining Eye Corp, Alastair served as the Group Chief Client Officer at Starcom MediaVest Group from May 2007 to April 2011. In this role, they were responsible for leading client relationship and product development across Starcom UK and MediaVest UK.

Alastair began their career at ZenithOptimedia Australia in January 2005, where they served as Business Director until December 2007.

Alastair Bannerman completed a BA (Hons) in Human Geography & Politics at the University of Leeds.

Alastair Bannerman reports to Toby Jenner, Global CEO. Alastair Bannerman works with Louisa Wong - CEO, Americas, Kathryn Spaeth - Global Chief Transformation Officer, and Camilla Bruggen - Global Head of DE&I.
