Ashwin Raam

Ashwin Raam is a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University since November 2022, focusing on Deep Learning and Machine Learning for network data analysis and intrusion detection, along with Federated Learning methodologies for enhanced privacy in distributed networks. With experience as a Summer Research Intern, Ashwin developed Computer Vision models for real-time network traffic analysis. Prior roles include Software Engineer at Cognis Solutions Pvt Ltd, where Ashwin optimized Python scripts for high-volume data requests and developed NLP solutions, and Software Developer at BUDDI AI, where Ashwin integrated Elasticsearch for efficient search functions. Ashwin anticipates completing a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Wayne State University in 2027, following a Master’s in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
