Brenda Keys

About

Brenda leads the WCIRB's legal team which is responsible for managing the WCIRB’s regulatory filing process, handling appeals before the California Department of Insurance’s (CDI) Administrative Hearing Bureau, managing the WCIRB’s intellectual property, monitoring legislation, and providing counsel on a wide variety of corporate and legal issues. Brenda is also responsible for overseeing compliance and risk management matters for the WCIRB.

During her tenure with the WCIRB, Brenda has served as a member of the CDI's Insurance Fraud Task Force, the California State Bar’s Insurance Law Committee, and the Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation Commission’s project on Illegally Uninsured Employers.

Brenda has been a member of the California State Bar since 1984 and is also a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
