Sophie Hawkesworth

Sophie Hawkesworth is a Senior Research Manager and Portfolio Manager for Population Health at Wellcome Trust since April 2017. Prior to this role, Sophie served as a Lecturer in Public Health Epidemiology and Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from September 2006 to March 2017. Sophie holds a PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, focusing on the impact of maternal nutritional supplementation on offspring blood pressure, as well as an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the same institution. Sophie's academic background includes a BSc with Honours in Zoology from The University of Edinburgh.
