Assistant Provost, Institutional Planning & Assessment at Wellesley College

Pamela Taylor is the current Assistant Provost of Institutional Planning & Assessment at Wellesley College. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Program Evaluator for the North Carolina General Assembly from 2007 to 2015. In this role, Pamela led and served on project teams to review the effectiveness and efficiency of state-funded programs and identify areas for legislative action. Pamela also managed relationships with state agencies, key stakeholder groups, state legislators, and other legislative staff during their time with the North Carolina General Assembly.

Before their time with the North Carolina General Assembly, Pamela was a Manager/Senior Consultant with Deloitte - AERS/DQI from August 2007 to October 2007. During their time with Deloitte - AERS/DQI, Pamela successfully managed the migration of the firm’s journal entry testing application from Windows to AIX / Windows environment within expected timeframe and conducted train-the-trainer sessions for staff in the United States and abroad. Pamela was promoted to manager as a result of their high-level and innovative effort on this project.

Pamela began their career as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte & Touche, LLP from June 2005 to October 2006.

Pamela Taylor has a PhD in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a BA in Psychology from Johnson C. Smith University.

They work with Ravi Ravishanker - Chief Information Officer & Associate Provost, Lisa Fischman - Director, Davis Museum & Cultural Center, and Nancy Coleman - Associate Provost & Director, Strategic Growth. Pamela Taylor reports to Andrew Shennan, Provost & Lia Gelin Poorvu ’56 Dean of the College.
