Rosemary Cook

Trustee at Wessex Archaeology

Rosemary, who joined the Board of Wessex Archaeology in May 2012, is a solicitor who graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Southampton in 1981 and has many years’ experience in corporate/commercial law, particularly project finance. She practiced in New South Wales, Australia, most recently with Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills), before returning to England in 1991 and joining Freshfields in their London office. In 1996 she joined National Power PLC as Senior International Projects Lawyer and was then appointed General Counsel of its successor company, International Power plc (now part of the GDF Suez Group). She is now the owner/director of Beechmast Consultancy Limited, a law firm established in 2009 offering legal services to mainly mid‐sized corporates. She is also a member of the Bishop of Salisbury’s Council and of the Salisbury Diocesan Finance Committee and Lay Chair of Pewsey Deanery.
