Matt Stuttle

CTO at What3words

Matt has been leading cross-functional engineering/research teams for 15 years. He has a keen interest in solving complex business problems and making new technologies accessible. After gaining his PhD in Speech Recognition at the University of Cambridge, he worked as a research associate in the field of spoken dialogue systems. After Phonetic Arts was acquired by Google, he spent seven years working there with the Speech, Ads and Maps teams. Prior to joining what3words he was leading and growing tech teams in several London startups.
