As Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Wheelabrator Technologies, Anthony “Tony” Farina is responsible for guiding the operational strategy for the company’s fleet of waste-to-energy facilities, landfills, transfer stations, waste-by-rail and collection assets. Tony brings more than 30 years of experience in the solid waste industry to Wheelabrator, during which time he successfully closed 60 mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Wheelabrator, Tony held a variety of operations management and leadership positions over the course of his career at Waste Management, Clean Harbors, Interstate Waste Services and Progressive Waste Solutions, most recently serving as COO at City Carting/Tunnel Hill Partners. Originally hailing from New Jersey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing from Rider University and now resides in the Seacoast, New Hampshire area.
