Louis Drotos has been working in the software engineering field since 2008. In 2008, they began working as a GIS Analyst for Science Applications International Corporation, where they analyzed high resolution imagery and foreign maps to identify and assess physical and cultural features on the landscape. Louis also worked closely with linguistic experts to ensure the accuracy of databases. In 2009, they began working as a Geospatial Software Developer for MDA Information Systems LLC, where they developed and maintained a set of web mapping applications. Louis made significant contributions to the team, including a tool that allowed users to import KML files into the map, a D3 heatmap visualization depicting the number of events per hour in a day for sites of interest, and a feature count tool that allowed the user to query the number of features or events within a specified area and timeframe. In 2016, they began working as a Software Design Engineer for KEYW, where they perform full-stack software development tasks on a enterprise web application as part of an agile development team. The application is used by 6000+ users to track, manage and visualize how analysts utilize their time spent performing analytic tasks. In 2018, they began working as a Software Engineer for Whiteboard Federal Technologies.

Louis Drotos completed their education history with a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from George Mason University, which they obtained between 2013 and 2017.
